AIXO DEV
Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and related browser-storage technologies currently used on the public AIXO DEV website at /dev/, what they do and how you can control them.
1. Who operates this website
AIXO DEV is operated by AIXO AI Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16847255, with registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.
Questions about cookies or privacy can be sent to privacy@aixo.uk.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of information stored on your device by your browser when you use a website. Cookies can be used for essential technical functions, to remember choices or, depending on the service, for analytics or other purposes.
UK rules also apply to some technologies other than traditional cookies where information is stored on or accessed from a user's device. The current public AIXO DEV theme does not use localStorage, sessionStorage or another persistent browser identifier for analytics or visitor profiling.
3. Cookies currently used on AIXO DEV
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type / controls |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
Technical browser-session cookie used for secure website and form functions. | Browser session | Strictly necessary. Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, scoped to /dev/. |
wf_analytics_consent |
Remembers your Analytics On/Off choice so that the site can respect it on later visits. | 180 days | Preference/control cookie used to remember your privacy choice. Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, scoped to /dev/. |
The current AIXO DEV implementation does not create a separate visitor-identification cookie for Web Analytics.
4. Optional Web Analytics
Web Analytics is first-party and server-side. Under the current AIXO DEV implementation, analytics remains off unless you enable it through the site controls.
When Analytics is enabled:
- a pseudonymous visitor identifier is generated server-side using HMAC-SHA256 from IP address, User-Agent, Accept-Language and a private server-side key;
- the raw IP address is processed temporarily to generate that identifier and, where available, determine a country code;
- raw IP address, User-Agent and Accept-Language are not stored in their original form in the Web Analytics database;
- the pseudonymous analytics record may include date, country code, first and last seen timestamps, page-view count and normalised page path;
- query parameters and referrer information are not stored in Web Analytics;
- analytics records are retained for 90 days and are removed by a daily automated cleanup job.
AI Traffic Analytics receives only aggregated statistical snapshots such as totals, daily counts and top pages. It does not receive visitor-level analytics records.
5. Why Analytics is controlled by your choice
UK law now includes a limited statistical-purpose exception for certain storage and access technologies where the legal conditions are met. The current AIXO DEV implementation nevertheless keeps Web Analytics optional and operates it only when you choose Analytics On.
Your analytics preference can be changed later through Cookie settings. Turning Analytics Off stops future optional analytics processing under this website configuration. It does not retrospectively remove aggregate statistics that were lawfully created before you changed the setting.
6. Browser storage not currently used for analytics
The current public AIXO DEV theme does not use the following for analytics or visitor profiling:
- localStorage;
- sessionStorage;
- a separate analytics visitor-ID cookie;
- advertising pixels or advertising identifiers;
- third-party analytics tracking cookies.
7. AI spam classification does not use browser cookies
The Standard Contact form may use a server-to-server OpenAI API request for spam and abuse classification. That classifier receives only the free-text message field; structured identity fields are deliberately excluded from the classifier input. This server-side classifier is not used to place an OpenAI advertising or analytics cookie on your browser as part of the contact-form process.
For more information about this processing, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Change your Analytics choice
Use Cookie settings in the AIXO DEV footer to review or change your Analytics preference.
9. Your browser controls
You can also use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary session cookies may prevent secure form functions from working correctly. Deleting the analytics-preference cookie may cause the site to ask for your Analytics choice again.
10. Changes to this policy
We review this Cookie Policy whenever the website adds or changes cookies, browser storage, analytics, embedded media, advertising technology, chat tools, third-party widgets or other storage/access technologies.
